As a nature-loving Oregonian, I grew up in a home with all kinds of animals. I had everything from turtles to birds, and of course dogs! As a kid, I loved tagging along to the dog training classes my parents took the family dogs to. I was very eager to participate and learn even though I was easily 20 years younger than every other dog owner in the class!
Through the years, my desire to continue learning more about dogs has never ceased. Though I never expected to have a job working with animals, for me, working with dogs is a dream come true. And I love it even more because I get to bring my dog Winston to work with me every day!
Ever since I was a kid I knew I wanted to learn about & work with animals. When I got my dog Shadow in 2009, I was the happiest kid ever.
I’ve spent a lot of time around farm animals, showing sheep at competitions & working on a horse ranch; all these experiences have had a big effect on my journey. The biggest step, however, was being hired by Train Walk Poop which has taught me about dog behavior, body language, grooming, training & much more.
Working with our customer’s dogs, teaching my dog new tricks & seeing their progress has grown my passion for working with animals into a career.
