How You Grow at Train Walk Poop
A good job should feel like it is going somewhere. Here is how the path works at Train Walk Poop.
The kennel tech path
- Day 1: You start as a Junior Kennel Tech.
- About 2 weeks in: You become a full member of the play group team, and we celebrate it.
- About 2 to 3 months in: You drop “Junior.”
- About 6 months in: You can earn your Socialization Cert, with a raise.
- Year 1 to 2: You can earn your Deluxe Cert, with a raise.
- Year 2: You can become a Senior Kennel Tech.
- Year 3: You can become a Master Tech.
The trainer path
Many of our kennel techs move on to become trainers. Trainers start as Junior Trainers and earn the Socialization, Deluxe, and Advanced Training certs, then Senior and Master Trainer.
Trainers who drive dogs get a car stipend. Trainers can also earn commission. Junior Trainers do not earn commission yet.
Raises along the way
- Every certification comes with a raise.
- Senior and Master each come with a raise.
- You get a raise on every work anniversary.
How Senior and Master work
Senior and Master are not automatic. You apply, and management approves. You keep the title by keeping the standard. Your certs always go with you. Titles are earned on each path.
