Bountiful dogs are hiking dogs. Mueller Park Trail is right out the back door, and on any summer evening half the town is on it. A dog that hikes well doubles your outdoor life. A dog that pulls, lunges at bikes, or ignores you around other dogs turns every hike into work.
We are the closest full dog training school to Davis County’s south end. About 15 minutes: I-15 or Highway 89 south, exit 3300 South, then 300 West. Plenty of Bountiful families stack a lesson onto a Salt Lake errand run.
Mueller Park is a shared trail. Mountain bikes, trail runners, and dogs all use the same dirt. The skills that matter: pass politely, come when called, and settle when asked. We build all three in steps, then you prove them on the trail.
My dog is great until we see another dog on the trail. Then chaos. Fixable?
Yes. Dog-to-dog excitement on trails is one of our most common projects. The fix is structured practice at increasing closeness, not avoidance.
