Many people ask us, “Don’t you have an outdoor area for the dogs?” It’s a good question! When we first opened, we tried using our back parking lot for dogs to play and train. We thought it would be perfect for our dogs to run around and enjoy the fresh air.
But we quickly learned some important lessons that changed how we think about dog care. Our experience taught us that indoor spaces actually offer better results for most dogs, especially when it comes to training and behavior.
Our outdoor experiment showed us three big problems that we couldn’t ignore:
After seeing these issues, we knew we needed to make a change. We wanted to create the best possible environment for dogs to learn, socialize, and enjoy themselves.
We discovered that dogs actually do better inside our building for several important reasons.
Inside our facility, the only things to focus on are their trainer and other dogs. This means they learn faster because they aren’t distracted by things like squirrels, traffic noises, or exciting smells. When a dog can focus, they pick up new skills much more quickly.
Another big advantage is that we never have to cancel or change activities because of rain, snow, or hot days. Training stays consistent no matter what the weather is doing outside. This regular schedule helps dogs know what to expect and makes learning easier.
We can keep the temperature just right all year long, so dogs stay comfortable during their time with us. They don’t get overheated in summer or shivery in winter. A comfortable dog is a happy dog who’s ready to learn and play.
Our indoor space also allows us to control who meets whom. We can carefully introduce dogs to each other in a safe way. This leads to better social skills and fewer problems between dogs.
Don’t worry – we still take dogs outside, but we do it the smart way!
When a dog is ready for outdoor training, we don’t use a boring parking lot. Instead, we go to real parks and trails. These places have all the good smells dogs love, and they’re similar to where you’ll take your dog in real life.
Think about it – you probably want to walk your dog in parks and neighborhoods, not parking lots. We train for the places you’ll really go together.
Parks and trails offer natural settings that dogs find exciting. The smells of grass, trees, and wildlife are much more interesting than a parking lot. Plus, these are the exact environments where you’ll want your dog to behave well in everyday life.
Our training works in simple steps that build on each other:
First, we teach your dog skills inside where it’s easier to learn. This includes basic commands, good manners, and how to play nicely with other dogs.
Then, when they’re ready, we practice those skills at parks and on trails. This helps them transfer what they’ve learned indoors to the real world.
This way, your dog learns everything step by step and feels successful before facing harder challenges outside. This builds their confidence and makes the training stick better.
It’s like learning to ride a bike with training wheels before trying to ride on a busy street. We make sure your dog has mastered the basics before moving to more challenging situations.
We’ve made our indoor space super special for dogs. We have equipment that helps dogs exercise their bodies and brains, comfortable resting areas, and plenty of room to play and learn.
Our indoor space includes special flooring that’s easy to clean and gentle on paws. We have toys that challenge dogs mentally and physically. The temperature stays comfortable year-round, and we keep everything clean and safe.
We don’t just want dogs running around with no purpose. We want to make your dog’s behavior better through smart training and fun play that helps in real life.
When your dog comes to us, they’ll learn important skills in a controlled environment first. Then we’ll help them use those skills in the real world. This approach leads to better behavior at home, on walks, and everywhere you take your dog.
Have questions about how we train? I’m always happy to talk about how our methods will help your specific dog! We believe every dog deserves training that sets them up for success, and our indoor-first approach has proven to be the best way to achieve lasting results.
